That is the solution. That is something else (PSD?) renamed to JPG. My less elegant way of dealing with it was to convert your troublesome JPG to a "JPG" and all was well including a reduction from 49000 K to 315 k

so is this still an issue with affinity or a quirky uncommonly formatted image file? To reiterate, it still opens fine from the get go in browsers and photo viewers. I don't have any adobe apps anymore but I'm curious how it appears in photoshop at least

    Hi Jay1991,

This image seems to open fine for me, please could you provide a screenshot showing how the image looks in Affinity?

    Thanks

Hi, thanks Callum. This is how it appears for me in both designer and photo.

You might also Zip the image before uploading it, as the forum software might make some changes to it otherwise.

Ah ok, well the official source is 2024_TX_500h_FSPORT_Exterior_004.jpg

    if that helps, thanks

edit: The forum software seems to have automatically embedded the link as an image... not sure how to stop it from doing that, hopefully it doesn't matter. Just an FYI I guess

  3. I understand the limited resources argument which is why I've refrained from commenting about this specific software issue any further. I do however have a problem with whoever it was that gave the green light to use misleading and broad claims about it being "the most precise" or "100% accurate" graphic design software in order to sell it. Honesty and integrity as well as being well organized is important too.

Where, when? Never was fixed since about five years. But: You can get better results by using another problem as a “solution”: Increase “DPI” in “Document Setup…”. For example use 21893 dpi if the page size is not bigger than (DIN) A4. If you already started the work it is meter to cut it and pate it after the DPI change.

Thanks for the workaround, here is the post I was referring to.

    Hi RPCarruth,

    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Yes, this will be fixed. We are permanently improving the program but some features/bug fixes may take more time than others. Bear with us while we work on a fix.

"Affinity Designer is full of tools meticulously developed for achieving high productivity, while maintaining 100 percent accurate geometry."

"Affinity - the fastest, smoothest, most precise professional creative software."

Nobody else has a problem with sort of marketing? It's clearly not true, granted it only costs ~$50 and the second quote is a bit broad but

    1. The lack of communication

    2. The lack of progress

    3. Misleading claims

    is definitely concerning.
