sita reacted to Sean P in 1pt stroke looks normal on screen. Prints as solid rectangle.
Hi Sita,
There is a known issue where rotated strokes are being printed much thicker than they should be - this is currently with development. In the meantime can you try going to Rasterisation in the Print dialog and tick 'Rasterise entire page'. This will rasterise the page before being sent to the printer and should print normally when using this.

Interesting. I didnt actually try to print it, but my printer's Print Preview function also shows that problem:

sita got a reaction from vonBusing in PDF export
Thank you for your response. I have had no problem with printing "dyes", meaning colored inks. Rather the issue is with keeping layers of "die lines" separated. The words sound the same in English, but have totally different meanings. Die lines are lines that indicated how steel plates should be bent and inserted into wooden panels, which will be used by a machine to stamp out and score paper or cardboard. My files need to indicate where they will fall on a printed page. A simple set of dies looks like this:

I usually uses a PMS color that I rename for the die. With separated spot colors on export, it usually works out for the printers i work with.

Hi adisee, sita,
Welcome to Affinity Forums
If you are referring to the purple outlines that appear (and in certain circumstances fade immediately afterwards) around the objects you can switch this off going to menu View ▸ Snapping Manager... and changing the Candidates dropdown to anything other than Candidate List.
The purple outlines indicate these objects are snapping candidates. To learn more about this feature please check this video tutorial: Snapping: Candidates

sita got a reaction from Alfred in Silhouette Cameo cutter and Silhouette connect
I've just been saving as PDF's and opening in Silhouette studio, which has a select by color. I've found the programs work pretty well together.
