Batch Resolution Change

Recommended Posts

the batch resize option works well except that it changes dpi to 72 which is not optimal for printing.  in addition tp resizing, would like to have option to change dpi to something like 300 dpi during the same batch resize.  there is a product, Pixillion that allows me to resize change dpi during the same batch process.  thanks.

Hey rudy serna,

The dpi doesn't change for me. If I open a 500px x 500px @300 dpi jpeg and batch resize it to 1000px x 1000px, the resulting image is 1000px x 1000px @300dpi.

You can create a macro to resize the image. Once added to the batch dialog, it will run before the resize. So for example, on the same starting image, I added a macro to change the dpi to 600 so my resulting image ended up 1000px x 1000px @600dpi from the original 500px x 500px @300dpi jpeg.
