Nashorn
You can put a image in a frame with “replace”, “place” and “drag and drop”. I prefer “drag and drop” but I’m not sure if the Publisher remembers the path of the image. It is at the same place as all the other images I embedded with “place” and “replace”. Sorry but the SW I used before lost those images sending the book to the print shop.
GarryP
I’ve just done a quick test and whether a “dragged and dropped” image is linked or embedded (by default) seems to depend on what the Image Placement Policy preference is in the Document Setup. You can check what’s linked/embedded using the Resource Manager.
Nashorn
Thank you for this good advice. I found all my images in the Resource Manager even those I renamed later and that are therefore not longer linked. The Publisher works reliable also with drag and drop. It’s great,
