AFFINITY PHOTO AND PPI/DPI

I dont understand why a picture that is 600 dpi and weight about 1 GIG are getting sooo small, when I doing a new document thats an A4. 

 

So bad english. I wanna take in a large picture in a A4 document and its not work.

 

Any tricks?

Wenn Du ein neues Dokument mit 300 DPI erstellst, wird das einzufügende Bild meines Wissens nach heruntergerechnet.

I dont really understand.

 

But what I want is to do a document with specifications, like size, ppi, rgb or what ever that I used to do in photoshop. This is not working i Affinty and I wonder why, why a picture that is so big and large get so small. How can I import the real size in a new document.

When you create a new A4 document, it is set to 300 DPI by default. To my knowledge, the inserted image is then downscaled.

You can change the document resolution in the settings.

How are you adding the picture to the document

Are you doing File > Place or something else?

I have tryed a different way to add the picture. I did it in another way. But I like to work to work how I did in PS. Much easyer to have controll.
