iPad - Bulk import of raw from NAS (smb) and/or usb drive

Recommended Posts

Since there isn’t a trial version (AFAIK) I ask here.

Is it possible to import RAW photos to Affinity for iPad from NAS via smb protocol, now that iPadOS is released? Or from usb hdd/ssd of SD card (dongle)?

I am not a proffesional, photography is my hobby and I would rather buy a software than to monthly pay for Lightroom.

Thanks!

Hi Yush,

Welcome to the forums :)

You can't import directly into Affinity however you can import from there using the Files app then bring them into Affinity from Files.

Thanks

It works the same way for all cloud storage. In this case I select open or import from Cloud, navigate to my wireless networked HDD (Affinity uses Files for this) and select the file, which then opens.

To import multiple raw files from a wireless networked drive, create a project folder (not essential but keeps thing tidy), open Files over APhoto, navigate to raw files folder, drag and hold one file then tap other files to add. Drop the lot into the APhoto Project folder. See screen vid.
