Hi,

at work we now have Affinity Designer, sadly in a 1.6.x Version for Windows. Privately I use AD in Version 1.7.x on my Macbook. I have quite a big asset library which I would like to use at work. I have exported my assets and tried to import them at work. Unfortunately it fails with the Message "Import Failed Unable to import file". I assume there is a compatibility issue either between 1.7 and 1.6 or between Windows and Mac.

Do you have any hint for me how I can import the assets?

Best,
befedi

Hi Befedi,

Welcome to the forums :)

Unfortunately I think these assets will be incompatible. Is there a specific reason why your workplace is using an old version of Affinity?

Thanks

I have no right to install software and we have to request for every update. And each update will be checked manually as it will be integrated in our central package system where you can "order" it to be installed on the workstation...

Thank you anyway for your answer. Very sad, now I have to wait till we get 1.7.

Maybe you could get them to hurry up the process by showing them some of the assets you would like to import?  How about making some screen shots to whet their appetites?
