I am exporting from publisher 1.7.2 for CMYK offset print.

Document color setting is cmyk
I set a global black 100% K  only and overprint. Text color is set with that
I Export PDF with cmyk separation, x-4 or x-1a, coated fogra 27

Check result in Acrobat, all text is a combination of colors like 71c 71m 65y 77k

I have no clue why all of a sudden this does not work anymore!

I have a document here that  created before the 1.7.2 update and export still works fine with black separation... so I am really at a loss here.

Hi Thomahawk :)

I've created the below test document using a Global & Overprint colour set to 100% K -

Then exported using the following settings -

I then opened the resulting PDF (ktest.pdf)  in Acrobat and useds Preflight to check the properties of the object, which is shown below -

As can be seen, the objects fill is set to 0/0/0/1 - 100% K only.

Does my document or export settings differ from yours? Are you using the same colour profile in your document that you set at export?

Thank you Dan. You were right. Despite I always set document colour right at the beginning, and I am sure I checked it again when I first had this problem – the document colour profile was wrong! Now it works.

Thanks again

Thom
