White text on black background

Recommended Posts

Did you import the text? If so there is a bug that results in background text colour being imported to. Unfortunately iPad does not have a a Control to change text background colour as the desktop does (though this has been requested). In the interim you may be able to achieve the desired effect by using different blend modes. Hopefully mods will have an update on status of this bug.:/

Hi James.W,

Welcome to the forums :)

As DM1 has mentioned, there's currently no option to change the background colour of imported text, however you could try creating a text object with no background colour, then paste your text into a different text object. Select the first and copy it, then select the pasted text object with the white background, navigate to the Edit menu and select Paste Style. This will replace the style of your pasted text with the default text style - meaning there is no background colour visible.

Unfortunately there's no further update on the development log, however I have included your report there so this thread should be updated in due course - I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Nice workaround, thanks Dan.
