Snorkelfork
A search of the forum turned up similar but not the same issue that I am having. After updating Designer to the latest version yesterday, when choosing the Designer persona in Publisher I get a popup that prompts me to buy Designer with no option for any sort of validation. I've tried suggestions of quitting one or both applications but these methods do not produce results. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help? -Thanks
Flyboy1960
I don't have an answer for this question but have another example of the issue. I purchased Affinity Photo and Designer for Mac via the Mac App Store and subsequently purchased Publisher via the affinity site. However, I cannot select the appropriate personas in Publisher. It states that the 2 applications are not installed. I would like to know if there is any way to get these linked together.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the forums, Snorkelfork. Are you on Mac or Windows? Where did you purchase each application from? What release (exact numbers, e.g. 1.7.2.471) is each of the applications? stokerg 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Snorkelfork
Thanks Walt, Of course I should have included that information. In the process of looking up the versions, I uncovered the issue. At some point in time, the dock icon became linked with a read-only copy of Publisher and I haven't changed any settings in either copy that would have raised a flag when I noticed the differences. When I updated Designer it broke the link but since I was on a read-only copy I was never prompted to update publisher. Deleted the read only and made sure all applications are on the newest update and all is good. Flyboy, I too am on a Mac and bought mine in a similar fashion. Check your versions update as necessary. and I bet you're problem is solved. stokerg
Staff stokerg Posted August 21, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2019 Hi Flyboy1960 and Welcome to the Forums, Can you make sure you have the latest Publisher update installed from here: https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/macos/publisher/1/ And that Designer and Photo are also the latest versions from the Mac App Store. You'll also need to launch each of apps once, before trying StudioLink
