Pen pressure not working with vector brush (1.7)

Hi, I am on Designer 1.7.1.404

Pen pressure doesn't work with the vector brush. If I switch to pixel persona it works with the brush there.

I'm at a loss of what to do. It should be intuitive and simple: More button -> select Pressure to drive Size variance.

I have tried size variance at anything between 0% to 100%

 

I have tried to enable and disable Windows Ink in the Wacom settings as well.

 

Can anyone help me?

On the vector brush context menu, what's the Controller: set to? have you tried the Pressure option?

You mean this? Of course. If there's anything else; I've no idea where to find it.

Oooh.. Alright. Why isn't that placed near the brush size / Opacity stuff? In my opinion; poor design to place it all over there. Looks less important.

So what's the point with the "More" menu then?

Great news, The More is just another avenue to Brush settings, and More is shorter than Brush settings, that's my take on it anyway. It might be better if when mousing over the More button, instead of the tooltip saying "More" it said "Brush Settings..."

this is classic terrible UI design, two settings that do the same thing, but one takes precedent and it's the one that is not in the standard dialogue. (or in the manual)
