EmilyJean
HI there, I have an EPS file from shutter stock and opened it with affinity designer. I wanted to be able to rearrange the phrases into a different shape but they're all locked together. Anyone know a way around this? File is attached. MickRose
Here's one way to do it. Remove or hide the black layer. Geometry/Divide or Separate. Select a line, then Xor, then group. Repeat for each line. Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
EmilyJean
Thanks! That worked. Only problem is when I divided the image, I lost some of the white space in the text. It was present when I deleted the black background then disappeared when I divided. Any ideas on why? File attached.
MickRose
Have you tried Geometry/Separate Curves instead of Divide? Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM

I opened the eps in Adobe Illustrator and did a divide, the difference is Adobe Illustrator seems to keep the paths like P, B and R as compounds, but Affinity doesn't. shutterstock_1147084430 [Converted].afdesign EmilyJean 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
