Mxmc123 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Trying to apply Gaussian blur to a layer group. I select the group. Go to the Effects Studio. Switch on the Gaussian Blur effect — but no contextual controls appear at the bottom of the screen. Tried Outline and 3D features, but, again, no contextual controls appear. Only effect that appears to work is the opacity slider at the top of the studio. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. Quote
Sara72 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Hi, Do you mean the Layer fx Studio in Designer? It’s working fine for me on a group, (see screen shot) as well as clicking the switch ON on the filter, you also need to click on it to select and highlight it grey. Quote

Like the filter effects in the old ‘Plus’ applications, changing the values there will turn the switch on automagically. Im in habit of doing the same thing and switching on the filter but not having any filter selected and wondering why nothing is happening, so you could basically do away with the switch? Quote

I guess something like resetting it back to 0 effects and it auto switches off but it would be better if when you Select it it turns the switch on at the same. Quote

Mxmc123 Posted July 21, 2019 Author Posted July 21, 2019 Many thanks. I wasn’t selecting the feature. Thought the toggle turned it on. Thanks everyone for their help. Sara72 and Alfred 2 Quote
