I only have to copy the attributes of a stroke, fill, object or text in Macromedia Freehand and I can then paste these attributes to other lines, fills, objects and texts elsewhere in the document  to create a perfect match across any number of elements. Bricscad has a similar feature that allows hatch in a closed boundary to be copied and pasted into other boundaries. This is a huge time-saver I would love to see in the Affinity Suite.

Andrew, have you tried “Edit → Paste Style” or “Edit → Paste FX”? They sound like what you want.
Further to that, if you want multiple objects to look similar then Styles are probably the best route.
