IanSG
I'm putting a simple song book together - there's a title at the top and the next page or 2 consists of chords and lyrics. I want an index that lists the song titles and includes hyperlinks to the relevant pages. I can create an index, and (as a separate exercise) I can hyperlink the index entries. There are 2 problems (so far) 1/ it's tedious and time consuming (I'd have thought a hyperlinked index would be so popular that creating one would be easy) and 2/ updating the index actually replaces it, and I lose all the hyperlinks. What's the best way of dealing with this? Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
walt.farrell
The index entries are automatically hyperlinked in an exported PDF, as long as you have not disabled inclusion of hyperlinks on the More... dialog. However: As with TOCs in Publisher, only the page number is linked. Unlike hyperlinks you make yourself, there is no default styling to indicate the presence of a link. You could fix this by editing the Character Style "Index Entry Page Number". IanSG
Thank you!! I'm so used to working with HTML that I just assumed the hyperlink would stand out somehow! walt.farrell 1 Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
