Kuso77 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Apologies in advance if this has already been asked. I used to use inkscape to export svgs and then import them into Blender. Found Affinity Photo exports svg. I've tried to export svgs (in Affinity Photo) using most of the presets. importing them into Blender gives me no actual data, just an empty category with the name of the exported/imported svg file. Curious if anyone knows all the settings that need to be set in order to import into Blender. Or do I have to use a different program to export the svg, like I have to do with tga? Thanks! Quote
PixelPest Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I tried SVG-save-to-web and it works flawlessly. It makes a difference in Blender if you use parametric objects or converted curves - but it all will come in: Cheers Quote
Al S Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I can't get it to work either in Blender 2.8 beta release candidate. Quote
PixelPest Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Can you provide an example file? As shown I don´t have an issue. Quote

PixelPest Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Some are just raster images - i don´t think you want that. Ungroup everything and export as SVG-for-web. You will get some Z-chasing at the shape´s overlapping as all elements are on 1 plane - but I guess you know why. male_swimmerSVGweb.svg Quote
Al S Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I did as you suggested and that's all I get is this (attached) Quote
PixelPest Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Change camera angle: it´s aligned to the Z-plane. Or rotate SVG to the axis you like more ... Quote
