Hi there!

when exporting text with a gradual transparency to *.eps or *.pdf, the export fails and only exports blocks, no text.

I tried converting the text to curves, having single text lines (not a big block), ..., but none works.

Can someone tell me what's wrong? (using Designer 1.7.1)

Thanks a lot!

after export to *.eps: it's rasterized and when going to "outline", only blocks are shown:

and the image is rasterized (though it shouldn't be):

Hi fabius_,

Welcome to the forums :)

The EPS format does not support gradients or transparency, which is why this text is being rasterised on export.

Could you please confirm how you have achieved this effect in Affinity? It may be that the methods you've used also aren't PDF compliant, hence the objects require rasterisation. If you could provide a copy of your Affinity file, or a screenshot showing the layers panel this will help - thanks in advance!
