joost Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Is 'color/colour management' functionality in the planning/roadmap? I.e., the ability to set a palette of colors and gradients for a particular work, give these names etc. so that one has a harmonious application of color across the entire work. Also, the ability to chance all application of one or more color swatches throughout the work, gradients that update accordingly, the ability to select colors that work harmoniously together (similar to adobe Kuler) etc. etc. Any chance? Staff MEB Posted May 25, 2015 Staff Posted May 25, 2015 Hi joost, You can create and save document, application and system palettes from the Swatches tab (icon on the right) For more info please check menu Help ▹ Affinity Designer Help ▹ Workspace ▹ Panels ▹ Swatches Panel. Linked colours/gradients are not available yet. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
joost Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 MEB, hang on a minute, review the help (i should have done before, i know) i admit there is more functionality that I gave it credit. However, color inheritance? Kuler-Like functionality? Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 25, 2015 Staff Posted May 25, 2015 Hi joost, Sorry if i somehow sounded harsh. It wasn't my intention. Color inheritance/linked colors and color harmonies are not available yet but yes, there will be improvements here. We are still at version 1.2 ;) Regarding colour palettes you can also create a colour palette from an existing document. Check this tutorial on how to do it. There's more tutorials on our Vimeo channel covering other topics too. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
