One page layout, multiple print formats

Recommended Posts

Hello

I've been creating workbooks for print here in Australia (A4), in the US (US Letter), and more recently for download in a tablet friendly 4:3 format. I build one master workbook using a custom paper size -- the common area of these 3 page sizes -- export the masters to PDF, then use Acrobat Pro's print production tools to add page boxes and trim marks. So, repeat three times, one for each workbook format, and each with its own arcane combination of border box margins. It's tedious. Is there a better way to do this with Publisher?

Thanks for your help,

Mike

You can have multiple master pages, try adding a new master page and selecting the Legal dimension.

A kind of lead-on question here would be, would it be possible to have a Master page for Master pages, so any element you want on all Master pages would be on the Persistent Master for want of a better name.

Yes. Make a new master and drag the Persistent Master onto the new one, or any existing master pages.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
