Hi,

I have am new to this app and have much to learn so hope my questions are not too redundant. I recently got a Mavic 2 pro drone and trying to learn how to manually stitch some nice Panoramic photos in Affinity. I use AEB mode taking 5 shots at a time at different angles. Next do I merge all the 5 photo group into the hdr's and then stitch them to make the pano? I have seen people take some amazing photos with this drone so trying to learn as much as I can.

Explained here in lightroom and photoshop but wanting to do this all in Affinity if I can.

Thanks!

Hi jjay03,

Welcome to the forums :)

The first steps are reproducible using the File>New Stack operation in Affinity Photo, then you can export these images as TIFF or JPEG.

You can then use these images in File>New Panorama to stitch them together, any transparent areas can be filled post processing by using Select>Alpha Range>Select Fully Transparent. Now go to Select>Grow/Shrink and grow the selection by 2 pixels. Now go to Edit>Inpaint and the selected areas will be filled with content aware pixels from the image, I hope this helps!

Excellent response, while not OP, the Select>Grow/Shrink and grow the selection by 2 pixels. Now go to Edit>Inpaint and the selected areas will be filled with content aware pixels from the image, is key. Thank you. This procedure works if you select,  crop, straighten and find you have transparent pixels in your crop.
