evtonic3
I have a combined shape (AI calls this compound path) that I can't undo, how do I do this?
Staff MEB Posted May 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 20, 2015 Hi evtonic3, Select the compound layer and go to menu Layer ▹ Release Compound. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
evtonic3
I thought it was a compound shape, but that isn't an option MEB. Look at these files to help explain what I am doing (did). I want to be able to release as you have stated but if I create a shape like the one attached I can't release them. I used the "pathfinder" to create the shape given. Staff MEB Posted May 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 20, 2015 That's not a compound shape but a compound path (It's a single shape - although with a "hole" in it) so there's nothing to release. To "break" the geometry in its components (two rectangles) go to menu Layer ▹ Geometry ▹ Divide.
