1.6.5.135 > 1.7 Update: Setup Failed

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just downloaded new update for Designer and after loading stuff it just says:
Setup Failed

Tried restarting PC, no effect.
I'm on Win7 64bit, Designer installed/worked without any issues since I purchased.

Please help. Thanks

Hi milo695,

Welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble, please uninstall the application using the following tool - https://support.microsoft.com/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed

If you can't see Affinity Designer listed please click 'Not Listed' and paste the following code -

{847b6eba-a67c-4cda-91e7-440116cc6422}

Now please re-download the exe from the following link and try installing Designer again -

https://store.serif.com/update/windows/designer/1/

I hope this helps!

Hey,
I tried with Microsoft Tool, both install/uninstall, and re-downloaded update.. but it's not working. I can try in safe mode or something...

EDIT: not working in safe mode either
