simonartist
I have to add the file extension every time for .JPG or .TIFF in Photo Beta. I was under the impression that it would be created it automatically. Simon
MikeFromMesa
Are you trying to Save or Export? APB will save your jpg or tiff without appending a suffix. I know as I do this all the time. I also do not have to append a suffix if I export an image as a jpg or tiff so I am not sure under what circumstances you are required to append a suffix. One thing to remember - if you load a raw image and try to save it (or Save As) you will get an image formatted as an afphoto image. You may append a jpg or tiff if you wish, but it will still be an afphoto image.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted May 11, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 11, 2015 Hi, You can uncheck "Automatically Hide File Extension" in Preferences :) Thanks, Andy.
simonartist
If you save it for web you need the file extension. I am not sure if you can add images for web page without file extension. I am exporting all my files. I did try uncheck "Automatically Hide File Extension" this does not add the jpg.
