Why can't I move a node on this line to make it a diagonal line?

Recommended Posts

See the cursor which indicates a rotation handle form ...

... you can also instead select that line (or it's layer) and rotate it via degree settings in the transform panel.

Okay, thanks, but, I don't want to rotate the whole line, I just want to move the node on the top end of the line. Is there no way to do that?

Okay, I have no idea why this is so difficult to figure out. I drew a simple line with the pen tool, and now I want to drag one of the nodes to make it a diagonal line, but, it's locked to only allowing me to move it up or down only. What am I doing wrong?

Your video shows you using the Move Tool. To move nodes, use the Node Tool.
