Affinity Designer - Text within a shape that conforms to the shape

Welcome to the forum,

  1. Create a shape, lets use the diamond shape Shape_Diamond_lightui.png.167da6a99ef4cda9caaf3ed95dbcea67.png
  2. Select the Frame Text Tool  frametexttool.png.9c099a6378c42f8c49f1af83764ba78e.png and mouse over the diamond shape the icon will change to show a pentagon with a T inside text_convert_frame_cursor.png.84d9f93f053ff4c8df25b6d86276debf.png
  3. Single click and start typing or paste the text into the diamond shaped text frame.
  4. If you want a background or a border duplicate your shape first and use the duplicate as a background or a border
