Exporting a PSD file from Photoshop

Recommended Posts

Hi...I was working on something in photoshop using the pen tool only...I decided to export it to Affinity to finish up the work, I exported as an svg, but it is not transparent.  I did save it as transparent when I exported out of photoshop.  I don't want to start this project over again...I've not had a problem before exporting as a transparency.  Can someone let me know what I could have done wrong?  Thank you in advance!

I'm sorry about the double post.  I only made one so I don't know what happened.  But, I do have another question.  I just read that AD doesn't support smart objects, which I had already put all my files together in smart objects...could that be the reason that the file I'm exporting won't open with a transparency?
