Problem with smart selection brush tool on iPad

I get dubble lines by using the smart selection brush tool. It just selects the outlines of an object and therefore only the pixels between those two lines changes by using adjustments. Has anyone an idea of what I might do wrong?

If possible could you provide the image in question? Does this happen with all images or just this one?

Thank you for your answer. It happens with all images but only with the smart brush. I think it has to do with the way I paint. I tried to start from the middle of the item and than I got a single line.

Try enlarging the brush size or pushing between the dotted line to expand them.
