Jkilo
I'm pretty confused about the Denoise tool. Could anyone explain exactly what detail and contribution do, and what the difference is between color and luminosity noise? Also, the first "preview" that appears looks very different (clearer, less fuzzy), then the final one that appears after a few seconds. Staff Lee D Posted March 25, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2019 Hi Jkilo, The built in help does break down the options and gives a brief explanation on what each option does, see here.
John Rostron
Colour or chrominance noise is due to individual colour sensors (red, green or blue) and shows as stray coloured pixels in your image. Luminance noise is monochromatic and shows as stray lighter or darker pixels. Often one is more obtrusive than the other. This is why you are offered separate controls for the two types.
