ButchZ
Im making templates for mugs The paper is 9.5 x 4 with 1/4" margines. When I create an image area of 9.25 x 3.75 and add guides 25%, 50%, 75% what are the guides aligning to? The canvas? If thats the case, can the guides be aligned to the rectangle shape created in percentages without manually adjusting?
walt.farrell
Yes, the percentages are based on the canvas. Workaround: Define your document size as just the image area. Set your Guides. Then use Document Setup to enlarge the document size to allow for the margins, and to add the margins. The Guides will be aligned as you want. By the way, wouldn't 9.5 x 4 inch paper with 1/4" margins give you an image area of 9.0 x 3.5 inches, rather than the 9.25 x 3.75 you mentioned? Or are the margins asymmetric?
