I can place or drag'n drop affinity designer files in a new affinity designer page. But when i change a linked file and save it, the placed one is still old.

How can this be fixed?

Hi pummelfee,
Currently placed files are embedded in the document (not linked) so they have no relation with the original external file. Embedded and linked files are still being worked for Publisher - they aren't yet working as intended (even linked files are being embedded in the document at this point).

Will this be implemented in a future release?

Hi pummelfee,
Yes, but it's still being worked on. As I said earlier we still embed linked files in the document currently which shouldn't happen, but editing them externally will update the file inside the publisher document. See  menu Document ▸ Resource Manager... to manage embedded and linked files (check the buttons on bottom for various actions). There's also an option in Affinity Publisher Preferences, General section to set Publisher to update linked resources automatically for you (Automatically update linked resources when modified externally).
