tbmunn Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I've just purchased all of the Affinity package and wrote up a 10 page report that's due in today, only to discover that the exported PDF files won't print any colour or images. They print fine straight from the program and from Preview (I'm on a Mac); but, that doesn't help me much in a world of PC's. I've tried PDF for export and for print and flattened with the same results. Affinity can't expect the whole world to have their programs, so what gives? Quote
Staff Callum Posted February 15, 2019 Staff Posted February 15, 2019 Hi Tbmunn, if you make a basic file in Affinity for example a QuickShape on a page then export it to PDF and print does it appear black? Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
tbmunn Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 Hi Callum Yes. Everything black. Shapes, images, text. A photo is completely overexposed- just a black box. Quote
tbmunn Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 Sorry. Let me be more precise. Anything printed directly from AffinityDesign comes out fine. Same thing with a pdf file on Preview on my Mac. But, I can't get anything to comet right on Adobe Reader. Quote

It might help if you would provide a sample .afphoto or .afdesign file, and the PDF you exported from it that demonstrates the problem. walt.farrell Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Your PDF views fine (Acrobat Reader) and prints fine on my Windows PC. tbmunn Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 Really?! Then my apologies for any negative sentiments. Thank you for your time. Now I'll try and figure out what's going on with my system. walt.farrell 1 Quote
