Frances Proctor
I'm going to be tasked with putting together an Obituary for a local paper. I'm figuring they likely use Indesign and I'm wondering if a pdf exported from Affinity Designer or possibly the publisher beta would open in Indesign? Can I embed the fonts I use within the Pdf? MikeW
Hi Frances, Just find out what flavor of pdf, whether they want bleed (even if there isn't any), and if so how much bleed. ID doesn't open pdfs. It places them like any image type. Do embed fonts. Only outline (convert to curves) them if they instruct you to. I personally would use a page in AD, not an artboard. Make sure you are really using 100% k. If you have any doubts about the pdf, contact me here or via TG and I would be happy to look at the pdf and test in ID. Frances Proctor
Thanks Mike. The copy is still being prepared but I have talked to the paper and got the info I need from them. MikeW 1 Quote Follow me on Creative Fabrica
