Is it possible to make the keys used for resizing consistent for all objects?

Why can't 'Shift' be used for say 'unconstrained' resizing for all objects regardless if they are text, shapes or images? This will save me using cmdZ every time I choose the wrong one.

If there is a reason why this is not possible can someone let me know then I won't put it on the 'Wish list'.

If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!

Hi jackamus,

you can choose different options in the preferences …

  • Constrain by default will always constrain the aspect ratio (hold Shift in that case for unconstrained resizing).
  • Do not constrain by default will never constrain the aspect ratio (hold Shift in that case for constrained resizing).
  • Automatic chooses the method with respect to object type.

I was so happy, when this was added …

Cheers,

Alex  :)
