ClimbnRox Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Looking for some brushes that will help me design the picture below. Any suggestions or downloads?
v_kyr Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Look through the brushes offered here in the resource section, make a forum or Google search after those topics. - Some are also listed here but not all (it's outdated due to not updated any longer) ... Quick Ref - Resources Note that you can also reuse (import) PS .abr brushes. ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
Sirenetta Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Another idea... If you create the flag using basic shapes in AD, you can apply a vector grunge texture on top of the flag to create that look. Attached is an example of an American flag with a vector grunge texture overlay. You can download free grunge textures online to experiment with. I hope this helps! American Flag.afdesign
ClimbnRox Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Looks perfect. Here is what I ended up coming up with on my own Michele H 1
Sirenetta Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I see! Yes, try experimenting with vector grunge textures. I think a combination of those will help you achieve your flag graphic without having to find or create brushes. ClimbnRox 1
Michele H Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Sorry new to this. How do you apply these?
ClimbnRox Posted February 13, 2019 Author Posted February 13, 2019 Hello Michele H! Brushes are applied to change the stroke into different textures and designs. The brushes palette is available in the top right hand corner under a standard layout. Next to colors and such. Good luck!
Sirenetta Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 If you are asking how to apply a vector texture to your image, please take a look at the file I attached to see how it was done. The flag group was dragged into the texture group to constrain the textures to the flag. Michele H 1
