Euclide
Hello everyone ;) I am in vector mode on AD. I drew 3 shapes with the vector brush, so I have 3 differents layers. How to merge them on one layer ? Thanks.
Staff MEB Posted January 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2019 Hi Euclide, Welcome to Affinity Forums If they are three separate objects (don't overlap) and all have the same attributes (fill, stroke, brush type) then you can use geometry operations (tap the ellipsis icon on the top left of the interface, see Geometry section there) to combine them as you wish into a single object/layer - eventually the Add operation in your case. If they all use different attributes (stroke width colour/stroke fill, brush type etc) then you can only group them to manipulate/ove them as a whole (select them all and tap the group icon on the top of the Layers Studio - it's the icon in the middle). Performing geometry operations on objects with different attributes will apply the attributes of the lowest selected object in the layers stack to all of them. Euclide
Thanks MEB -Can you tell me the way to do it with the "pixel" brush ? -About the group how do you select all the layers ?
Staff MEB Posted January 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2019 If you want to use raster/pixel based brushes then you can draw/paint everything in the same layer. To create a pixel layer click the Plus (+) icon on the top of the Layers Studio and select Pixel layer. Then switch to Pixel Persona (the 5th icon on the top left of the interface counting from the left) and use the Paint Brush Tool to dram/paint on that layer. To select multiple layers in the Layers Studio swipe your finger over the layer/object you want to select (from left to right or in the opposite direction it doesn't matter). Do it/repeat for as many layers/objects as you need (they don't need to be consecutive obviously). If the layers you want to select are all consecutive, tap the first one to select it, then two-finger tap another to select all the layers between them at once (sometimes a two-finger tap may fail if you don't tap with two fingers simultaneously - repeat if necessary until you get the handle of it). To select multiple objects on canvas (with the Move Tool) tap one of the objects to select it, then tap-hold the canvas with a finger and with another tap on any additional objects you want to add to the selection.
