The updates (via app store) have never downloaded and installed: I touch the button and it sends the request, but the update is never delivered. I have 1.6.5.61; I note the latest update is 1.6.12. I didn't know it was possible to buy IOS app from the Mac App Store anymore, are you sure you did not actually purchase the Mac version of the software?
