Bert S Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Hi, I'm working in a file with numerous layers right now. I have used one layer for a background fill. Now each and every time I like to reposition the shape within this layer. The layer gets placed on top in the layers panel (without touching the layers panel that is). It did this with some other layers too (not all though), randomly reorganizing my layers panel, creating a big mess. Even when adding a new layer, this layer seemed to be affected with this type of command. Could this be an accidental activation of some setting I've made? Thanks! Quote
v_kyr Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Maybe, hard to tell without knowing concrete what you did, dragged, moved in the layers panel and with which Affinity tool. - Note that you can also lock layers and setup in the Assistant manager how to deal with certain layers etc. Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
Dan C Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Hi Bert S This isn't something I've heard of before, nothing in your layers panel should move automatically. There are keyboard shortcuts for this (Ctrl/Cmd + [ or Ctrl/Cmd + ]) is there a chance that you are using these accidentally? If not, could you please provide a screen recording of your issue? Quote
