Hi, I'm working in a file with numerous layers right now. I have used one layer for a background fill. Now each and every time I like to reposition the shape within this layer. The layer gets placed on top in the layers panel (without touching the layers panel that is). It did this with some other layers too (not all though), randomly reorganizing my layers panel, creating a big mess. Even when adding a new layer, this layer seemed to be affected with this type of command. Could this be an accidental activation of some setting I've made? Thanks!

Hi there, it appears that the selection lines are on for a number of objects, even though they are not selected. If I go on and select more objects, some previously selected ones will loose the selection color. Could this be a bug? Or is there a function to turn this off? It just started to happen in the middle of a project, and while copying an illustration to another file, it seems like it infected that file as well. as you can see in the image below, the square is selected, the circles just show the vector lines, this wasn't the case before, until a certain time point into the project. Hi Walt, thanks for your prompt reply! So what you can do on illustrator with guides is the following. Drag and drop some guides in the document just as in affinity. However, in Illustrator you can grab the guides with your move tool and just edit that selection in the align/distribute tool. E.g.: I want to distribute 3 guides evenly by a simple click, so I just select them and click on distribute evenly. I understand that there are some workarounds for that in the guides manager. But this is a useful feature I used a lot in illustrator. Maybe it is worthwhile implementing it as well? Then the following issue I had just right now: a triangle with two corners adjusted simultaneously by the corner tool, looked great yesterday. Today I opened the files (one basic file for the icons overview and one file for a seamless pattern) and in both files one of the corners went from rounded to sharp again. So all the shapes that I've copied have to be adjusted back again. Very long and painful process. Help needed please. Bert
