moonliner Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Well after decades I've cut the Adobe cord and gone all Affinity! The learning curve does slow me a bit, having to search for things that were instinctive in PShop. Is there any kind of cross-reference between Photo and PShop? For example: "Photoshop calls XYZ tool/effect THIS, in Affinity Photo we call it THIS." OR, basic differences, such as: In PShop the foreground/background colors always show at the bottom of the tools column. In Photo it appears and disappears in the top left (WHY????) Thanks! DR Quote
R C-R Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Unfortunately, I know of no cross-reference like that. That is probably at least in part because where the two apps differ, they often differ enough that there is no simple 'this is like that' correspondence. Affinity Photo lacks some Photoshop features entirely, if for no other reason than PS has been in development for much longer than AP. A few others are not needed because AP implements some things in a way that makes them unnecessary or automatic.
