Caleb O. L. Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Is there any plan to allow the ability to merge shapes a la the Unite/Pathfinder tool in AI? so far the only workaround that I can see is to save the file. Open it and edit in Illustrator using the Pathfinder tool. Then bring it back into Designer. Is there some other way to merge multiple shapes into just one? Thank you best, C’ Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 14, 2018 Staff Posted November 14, 2018 Hi Caleb O. L., Welcome to Affinity Forums You can use boolean operations for this. With two (or more shapes) selected tap the ellipsis icon the top left of the interface and from the Geometry section select the operation you want to perform. So to merge two objects together you can use the Add operation (or combine depending on what you want) for example. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
johannes123 Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Currently I am comparing Affinity with Adobe illustrator. Pathfinder, as in adobe, works easier. In affinity I can only use the layer---geometry command. The icons on the right top don't do anything. I work on the new mac mini with M1 processor, use Big Sur, last update. Quote
