Petrosilius Zackleman
Hello I'm trying to create a postcard on AD, and intend to have it printed on heavy "Kraft Paper" that has a natural unbleached cardboard like colour. I wish to place a text title on a coloured block and have the text fill be transparent (ie the Kraft Paper). The effect I'm after is shown on the attached file. Thank's in advance for pointing me in the right direction
Staff MEB Posted November 1, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 1, 2018 Hi Petrosilius Zackleman, Welcome to Affinity Forums 1. draw a rectangle 2. write the text and place it over the rectangle 3. select both objects then press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) and click the subtract button in the Geometry section on the main toolbar This creates a compound object which you can expand in the Layers panel to access the original objects used to create it (which keeps the text editable). I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
