Pages Panel Double vs Single Click

Recommended Posts

Will it be possible to single click on a page in the Pages Panel instead of having to double click it to make it appear in the document window?  When first setting up my project, I got confused with which page I was working on as the blue outline in the page panel made it seem that the page highlighted was active until I figured out that the grey outline means it is currently selected.  I know I can look at the bottom left corner to check which page I am on, but it seemed like it would be simpler if I could just single click on the page in the Pages Panel to select it.  I'm a novice user, so I am not sure if there is a reason behind having to double click a page to select it.  Maybe that is the setup professional users prefer, and I haven't realized yet why double clicking is better than a single click.

Usually, single-clicking means - select, double-clicking means - action.

So in this case, I think, that when you single click the page you want to select it whereas by double clicking you want to more (action) to that page.

Also, by single clicking, that is, selecting a page you may want to change certain characteristics of a page, like its margins, or add a section break, etc. You wouldn't necessarily want to move to that pages straight away.

I hope that makes sense. :)
