Damiand Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I'm new to this so please bear with me. I have been experimenting with text warp and perspective shift with very good results. My problem is that after I've completed the warping etc I can't change or adjust the colour of the text. Is this possible or do I have to select the colour first? Yours Damiand Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 17, 2018 Staff Posted October 17, 2018 Hi Damiand, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you are using the Perspective or Mesh Warp tools to distort the text then it gets converted/rasterised to an image and so it's not editable as text anymore (see the label between parenthesis after the text layer's name in the Layers panel) - you can only change its colour manipulating the pixels/image in some way. To keep the text editable as text (and change it's colour as usual) use the Perspective Live Filter instead (menu Layer ▸ New Live Filter Layer ▸ Perspective Filter). Currently there's no live equivalent for the Mesh Warp Tool. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Damiand Posted October 17, 2018 Author Posted October 17, 2018 Thank you, that works a treat. Onwards and upwards! Damiand Quote
Pšenda Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Alternatively, try clipping. Warp text with bad color. New Fill layer with the right color, and after clipping. Clipping can be used for anything, such as a gradient, or any picture.
