Laws regarding tutorials featuring pics and videos

Recommended Posts

I would like to create tutorial videos for how to create certain things in Affinity. Are there copyright laws that prevent me from doing this? I have Googled until my fingers hurt, and all I get is YouTube/music copyright laws in the search results. So, I've decided to ask straight from the source. Am I allowed to make tutorial videos for your Affinity software programs without permission? If not, how I obtain permission? What can I and can't I record or clip? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi Dean,

From my understanding as long as you have permission to use any images/source files if they are not your own, in the tutorials, we are fine you making your own tutorials.  Several other users have made some in the past and might be better to wait for a comment from them.  Or i'm sure @Patrick Connor may be able to confirm what i've said.
