Do you mean, to flip a duplicate object so that flips along a selected axis point?

If yes Affinity Photo doesn't allow you to select the pivot point for the object to flip around, it will just flip where it is and then you have to move it into place.

@wim Do you mean Mirror or Flip? (there's a mirror filter in AP....for that you just click on the image for the mirror point and use the dialog window for the angle etc)

If Flip, here's a workaround:
1) draw a shape from the center.... the center being what you want the flip center point to be.
2) throw the "thing to be flipped" into the object as a child.
3) flip the parent object.
4) release the child.

Flipping over an arbitrary axis is a different story...

Your the king of workarounds lol, its a bit weird though because the flipped layers thumbnail doesn't flip until you release the shape from the mirroring shape.

Ha! I was just coming back to say...... It's probably easier to set a couple guides and just flip and move a la @firstdefence!

But yeah, you're right. Hadn't noticed that the thumb doesn't immediately update :S.
But it will if you do anything that impacts the layers panel not just releasing the child. Like drawing another shape or curve or adding a layer etc.
Bug.

Still a neat workaround.
