Looking at 4 other applications I have on Windows: In one, Ctrl+shift+Down selects the next line of text, but not the current one. In another, it does nothing at all. (Also true in Affinity Designer.) In another, it selects from the text cursor to the end of a paragraph. Affinity Publisher is a completely new product written from scratch. You will (I believe) find many differences in how things work, even for those cases where both provide the same or similar functions.
