chvon7thal Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 It seems PDF import isn't able to render some types of embeded fonts. See attached file for more information. original pdf file.pdf After import with publisher.pdf
Alfred Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 The Affinity apps don’t currently interpret embedded fonts at all. You need to have the fonts installed on your computer. Yes, it will, but the apps still need to be able to interpret the embedded fonts in order to work out what those curves should look like. Edit: For a font like Anastasia — free for non-commercial use, and inexpensive if you need to purchase a licence — I would prefer to install the font so I could have editable text. (Arial is a terrible choice for a substitute!) Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
