iaing
If you add an item bleeding off the page on a master page, with view mode set to 'Clip to Canvas' (so that when you hit ctrl+w you see your document without the bleed) - click on another page then back to your master page, the bleed of the object has vanished - disable 'Clip to Canvas' and the bleed re-appears, stays visible when you re-enable 'Clip to Canvas'. Side note - I have to say I'm struggling to see the point of 'Clip to Canvas' since you have to also 'Hide all guides' for it take any effect - seems more like a preference setting than a view mode.
