Rauven Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 As the title says, the bleed area is more necessary than ever now. I was OK with it being pushed back on designer, but publishing definitely needs to have it as soon as possible. Cineman, dramagold, woefi and 2 others 4 1 Quote
woefi Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Yeah I thought I was missing something - but obviously there is no bleed preview option in this first beta... enginpost 1 Quote Main machine: iMac 2019 (21,5-inch 4k, 6core), 64GB RAM, 1TB nvme + 2TB ssd, running on Mac OS 15 Sequoia; Display setup: 28" 5k Display (primary) + 21,5" iMac4k-Display for studio panels (secondary); Keyboard layout: german apple extended keyboard (aluminium);
Cineman Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I put the same thing in a different request about ways to improve the New Document dialog. Margin sync lock + bleed settings with sync lock were 1 and 1a. Quote

Being able to view your bleed area not only helps you guarantee you are making optimal use of it, but also helps you to minimise cropping your content any more than necessary. It is a crucial part of creating a document for publication. I believe the implementation of this feature to be simple. It could be a menu item under 'View', nested right next to Show Guides and Show Margin. Call it 'Show Bleed Area'. Quote
