ZHS
Hi! I'm running Affinity Photo on Windows 7 x64. There is a problem with the ARW files of Sony A65 and A77M2. Sigma 10-20 f3,5-5,6 lens is not correctly recognized and Tamron 17-50 f2,8 is not recognized at all, therefore automatic lens correction does not work. As an alternative, I've tried using a dedicated PTLens program to correct lens distortion as a plugin, but it doesn't start and Affinity Photo spontaneously shuts down. At the same time PTLens works correctly in Adobe PhotoShop and Corel PaintShop Pro.

Staff Lee D Posted July 25, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 25, 2018 Hi ZHS, Are the RAW files opening and displaying OK, just without any lens correction taking place? We have a list of supported lens which our app supports, your Tamron lens is listed. Have you looked at the EXIF info of the file to see if the lens make and model are correctly written for our app to pickup.

I looked at the EXIF info in the program ExifPilot. Indeed, lenses are recognized as well as in this application. However, I explain this by the imperfect lens recognition algorithm. I opened my files in DxO Optics Pro. It correctly recognizes the bodies and lenses in any combinations.
